1. What we collect

When you sign up for a Dead Man's Clique membership we collect: name, email address, payment information (handled directly by Stripe), training goals, emergency contact details, signed waiver, and optionally a profile photo. We also store the timestamp of your first session attendance and a running record of your bookings and attendance.

2. How we use it

  • Manage your membership and subscription billing.
  • Confirm session bookings, event RSVPs, and attendance.
  • Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, account updates) — you can opt out at /account/profile.
  • Issue your QR-code member card and Apple Wallet pass.
  • Track sponsor-partner discount redemptions.
  • Issue referral rewards.
  • Investigate fraud or abuse (e.g. self-referrals, stolen sessions).

3. Who we share it with

We use the following processors to run the service. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

  • Clerk — authentication, session management, MFA.
  • Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing, customer portal.
  • Sanity — content management (your profile, bookings, attendance audit).
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Shopify — store checkout (if you purchase merchandise).
  • Apple — Wallet pass delivery + push notifications (if you add your card to Apple Wallet).
  • Vercel — hosting, function execution, log retention.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share with third parties only when required by law or as described above.

4. Cookies

We use a small set of cookies for: session authentication (Clerk), referral attribution (a 30-day dmc_ref cookie set when you arrive via a referral link), and Stripe's checkout flow. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at /account/profile. You can opt out of marketing emails on the same page. You can cancel your membership at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal at /account/billing. Requests for data deletion should be sent to hello@deadmansclique.com.

6. Retention

We retain active member records for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal compliance. Cancelled memberships are soft-archived rather than deleted so that booking and attendance history is preserved for reactivation.

7. International transfers

We process and store data in data centres operated by our processors, which may be located outside the UAE (including in the United States and the European Union). Each processor maintains their own data-transfer safeguards.
